ARCUS is accepting applications from Masters and PhD students for travel scholarships to attend the 19th Annual Meeting and Arctic Forum on 23-24 May 2007, in Washington, DC. The focus of this year's Arctic Forum is: "Water in the Arctic: International Collaborations and Understanding Environmental Change."

Jointly hosted by ARCUS and the Embassy of Sweden, the Arctic Forum features a diverse and international range of perspectives on the state of knowledge of the hydrological cycle in the circumpolar Arctic, gaps in our knowledge, and research and policy opportunities and priorities.
The travel scholarship competition is open internationally to Masters and PhD students who are working in a field related to the Arctic Forum's focus on water and the arctic environment. Scholarships include
airfare, lodging, and per diem. Successful applicants will be expected to present a poster at the Arctic Forum.
To apply, please submit a completed application form, including:
- name and contact information;
- field of study and/or graduate research topic;
- poster title and abstract of not more than 300 words; and
- answers to the following questions:
(a) What would you be able to contribute to the discussions at the 2007
Arctic Forum?
(b) How would your participation in the 2007 Arctic Forum contribute to
your professional development as a member of the research community?
