The UK joins POLENET! British scientists have been awarded funding to install 7 sites in the southern Antarctic Peninsula as part of POLENET. The UK network will be built on the backbone of the existing and planned POLENET sites, including those funded by NSF. Deployments will be made in 2009/10. The project, which runs for 5.5 years is led by Dr Matt King (Newcastle University) and has received
