Daniel Pringle from the University of Alaska Young Researcher's Network at the World Ice Art Championships, in Fairbanks Alaska. The University of Alaska IPY Office is a sponsor of Ice Alaska, 2008. The UA Young Researchers' Network had a popular walk-through igloo with posters about IPY and polar science, ice and permafrost cores, Arctic animal pelts, Phil the Arctic gyrfalcon, and prizes for kids and adults alike who correctly answer polar science questions.
