Report no 7, December 9
We are now climbing the final mountain range before entering the Polar Plateau. We are driving on Kibergdalen, which is a small outlet glacier connecting the elevated Amundsenisen to Ritscherflya. Driving on Kibergdalen upstream is an approximately 800m of change in elevation, from 1400m to 2200 m. We are now well into our work and we are looking forward to our first longer science stop, which is planned for December 11. This day is also needed for many other purposes including starting up additional instruments that were not fully operational when we started. Besides this, the scientific work has been running as scheduled and we are very satisfied with our results thus far.
