The Swedish team arrived at Wasa station on 16-17 November. We had a few days of calm and sunny weather, just enough to start up the station and the tracked vehicles. On 19 November a severe gale came in from the northeast with an average wind speed of about 35 m/s and much stronger wind gusts. Thus, during the last few days outdoor activities have been limited, which may influence our departure time. Other than the weather and the limitations on outdoor work everything is fine, and preparations are progressing. Our estimated time for departure for the Polar Plateau is November 29.
