Competing in a pool using remotely-operated vehicles--underwater robots--that they built themselves, student teams participating in the Hawaii regional competition will vie for the right to participate in the International ROV Student Competition to be held June 24-26 at Memorial University in St. Johns, Newfoundland & Labrador, Canada. This years international competition centers around IPY, challenging students to design and build ROVs for science, exploration, and industry operations in polar environments.
