The purpose and focus of this travelling exhibition is to demonstrate the endeavours and scientific results achieved by Italian researchers during their studies in the Arctic and the Antarctic. It is important to explain the diversity, value and importance of Polar Science. These harsh regions are particularly vital for understanding the future of our Planet; for example, within the issues of climate change, the ozone hole and extreme adaptations. The objective of the exhibition is to increase public awareness of these issues through its contact with schools, universities, public and private institutions. In particular, the project aims to involve young people, from compulsory school through to university, in order to motivate them into taking an interest in all Polar Science (Physical, Earth and Life sciences). The project also hopes to involve teachers as a means of spreading of the knowledge and information discovered during the exhibition.
