The summer school will focus on dynamics of monsoon variability and related teleconnections, impacts of monsoon variability on glaciers, and reconstructions of climate variability from glaciers. It is organized jointly by the Center of Climate and Cryosphere, University of Innsbruck, Austria, the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, University of Bergen, Norway, and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China.
Right after the summer school, the Norwegian-Chinese project DecCen will have a project meeting/workshop at the same place. Lecturers

Costs
The fee for participation in the summer school is 300 Euro for each participant. This fee will cover accommodation and full board for the duration of the summer school. Participants will have to cover travel costs to and from Innsbruck, Austria, themselves. Transportation between Innsbruck and Obergurgl will be organized by the summer school.
