IPY 2007-2008

The University of Lapland, Arctic Centre and UArctic, arranges a conference and workshop with the idea to highlight the importance of science and knowledge in the development of the region, especially from the perspectives of environmental, social, cultural, legal and economic sciences, and without forgetting critical perspectives.

Information outreach and social sciences are also integral components of the IPY of which the organizers will put a lot of emphasis on.
