The University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF) will display an interdisciplinary exhibition and a symposium with artists that have focused their proposals in the fascinating Antarctic Continent, in addition to the commemorative events within the frame of the International Polar Year 2007-2009.

Antarctica is a virgin continent that holds the biggest reserve of drinking water in the world. It works as an experimental laboratory in all known areas, including art.

Popular imaginary has a faint, distorted image of the experiences and evidences we can find there. The intention of this exhibition is to bring them to the spectator in a university context, to acquaint the community with them and to generate dialogs through the gaze and poetic of a group of exploring artists.
