IPY 2007-2008

The British Antarctic Survey will be hosting a workshop on an Advanced Concept Radar Sounder for Planetary Remote Sensing in May called ACRAS 2007 which will run from the 21st May to 22nd May, 2007. This workshop will look at planetary exploration using advanced remote radar techniques. The techniques can also apply to the remote sensing of the polar regions. It is being sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA) and there will be people from the NASA MARSIS Mars Explorer programme there, as well as many other esteemed scientists from around the world. The main development programme started last summer and runs into next year.
