The West Antarctic Links to Sea-Level Estimation (WALSE) workshop will be held in Austin, Texas, March 26-28, 2007. This is an IPY related meeting between UK and US polar ice researchers and is a "joint effort to forge greater consensus on the potentially devastating impact that the melting of West Antarctic ice could have on future sea-level rise".
