An International Polar Weekend will be hosted at the American Museum of Natural History, in New York City on Saturday and Sunday, March 10 and 11, 2007. Their goal is to engage the public in understanding and appreciating the polar regions, by focusing on New York’s relationship with the poles. The symposium will consist of a lecture series, film series, and interactive Polar Fair.
